 | ABOUT US Our Mission | The Maryland Consumer Rights is a non-profit organization created by a group of consumer advocates in order to fill a need in Maryland for a state-wide organization focused on consumer rights and fairness and safety in the marketplace. We seek to advance and protect the interests of Maryland consumers through research, education and advocacy. Our members include individuals and organizations that support the interests of consumers. | What We Do | · Educate individuals, organizations and public officials about consumer issues and consumer rights.
· Advocate on behalf of consumers before the State legislature and state agencies.
· Study issues of concern to consumers and serve as a resource to the community on those issues.
· Foster communication among organizations and government agencies involved in protecting consumer interests.
· Maintain a web site to provide consumers with up-to-date consumer information.
· Coordinate our efforts with national consumer organizations on issues of concern to Maryland consumers |
