File a Complaint with a Public Agency or Non-profit Organization

Filing a complaint with a public agency or non-profit organization may help you resolve your problem. This section lists federal, state and local government offices and non-profit organizations that provide assistance to individual consumers. Each listing provides details on how to contact the agency, what types of complaints they handle, and a link to its website, when available.  Limits on the services provided by an agency or organization are noted where possible.

Where to file a complaint often depends on what type of problem you have.  If your problem fits into one of the categories listed below, click on that topic for a list of places to file a complaint. If you do not see a specific listing for your type of problem, click on the GENERAL CONSUMER section. The Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition does not provide complaint investigation or mediation services, but would like to hear about problems and issues affecting consumers.  See our CONTACT US section for information on how to send us an e-mail.
